Wedding Season is here where all the planning, stressful decision making and hard work comes together. You have been selected to share this wonderful day with either a friend or family member and picture perfect makeup is essential for those wedding snap shots.
A wedding day can be long and tiring and this can show on a Wedding Guest’s face. After the glorious exchange of vows and a slap up three course meal there is usual a little time before the evening party. NOW is your time to spruce up your day look to your night.
Take your polished natural beauty day make-up to party perfection in just five steps. You will be looking fresh faced and ready to party the night away!
The products we used to create our natural beauty look are:
STEP 1 – Clean up!
Now is the time to polish any existing make up you have from the day. A few cotton buds are small enough to slip in your bag and great to wipe away any unwanted smudges. Great to be used to wipe away excess mascara/eye liner and lipstick smudges. A great essential are shine erasers. Gently blot the T- Zone to get rid of any extra oils and shine that you don’t want to be seen in any photograph albums. The Translucent Matte Powder is a great multi – purpose product that soaks up any oils on the skin whilst creating an all over even skin tone. A sweep of this is a quick and easy application and the mirror included is great if everyone is fighting over the toilet mirror!
Step 2 – Touch up – Concealer is your friend 🙂
Our All Over Cover Stick is perfect for little touch ups. It conceals blemishes, under eye discolourations and can be used as a primer for eye and lip make-up. If you choose a colour pop lipstick, dabbing a light coverage of the stick on the lips first can make the colour stand out more and give an even finish.
Step 3 – Dramatise the Eye
This step is the first to altering your day makeup and will make the most impact from day to night. Choose a shade darker than the eye shadow you are using in the daytime and apply it in the crease of your lid. We used the Baked eye shadow in Toasted to compliment the mineral eye shadows used in the day. Draw the colour out of the socket until the colour is just below your eyebrow bone. Add a sweep of black eye liner from the outer of the water line to half way in and the same on top of the lid for evening drama. Then continue the line with the Eye Widner into the inner corners of your eye. This will give a wide eye effect that looks fresh and youthful.

Do not apply any more mascara, this can clause clogging and lashes becoming stuck to each other instead, use a mascara wand to comb through the lashes to separate and reshape as needed.
Step 4 – highlight your best bits
Using a facial Shimmering Whip highlight areas of the face you wish the light to pick up. This could be just under the eyebrows, cheek bones, the inner corners of your eyes or even your cupids bow. This liquid product is best applied from your hand with your finger tips in a dabbing motion.
Step 5 – Get Lippie!
If you want to change your lip colour for the evening the easiest way is to work with glosses. Choose a shade or two darker than your day colour and apply straight on the lips. Using a lip product that comes with an applicator is easiest as whilst applying, the shades easily blend to create an evening appropriate pop of colour. If overlapping lipsticks blot your lips before trying adding a different shade. The all over cover stick in this instance could be used to help colour block a previous shade especially if you are going from a coral base to pink. We chose the Plumping Lip glaze in Fuchsia Fanatic which glided well over the lip balm.
