Find out what happened when we challenged 10 beauty bloggers to create the perfect Valentine’s look using only e.l.f. cosmetics…
Valentine’s is fast approaching and here at e.l.f. we know that it can be hard finding the perfect makeup look to go with whatever you’re doing on Valentine’s Day. Which is why we challenged 10 beauty bloggers to come up with their own Valentine’s look to help and inspire you to create yours. We gave each beauty blogger one of the following:
1. 32pc Eyeshadow palette in Everyday
2. Eyelash Collection in Everyday
3. Baked Blush in Peachy Cheeky
4. A foundation (Flawless Finish/HD Mattifying/ Personal Blend Mineral Foundation)
5. Waterproof Lengthen and Volumise Mascara
6. A Studio Moisturising Lipstick
7. A nail polish colour
Here’s a pic of all the goodies together taken by one of our bloggers Wanischa from Kah-Feh Yen!
1. Kah-Feh Yen
Wanischa from Kah-Feh Yen has created an amazingly pretty makeup look for Valentine’s Day. We love the purple and pink toned smokey eye Wanischa created and we think she demonstrates perfectly the subtle natural shimmer of our Baked Blush.
Niki’s Valentine’s makeup look is vibrant and colourful and we adore it. Not only do we love Niki’s Valentine’s makeup tutorial because of the incredible eye makeup (which makes her brown eyes look even bigger and more beautiful than we thought possible!) but she’s also got some amazing tips for using various products for alternative purposes.
We’d be lying if we didn’t say what first attracted us to Katie from Sugar Fixx Beauty was her amazing pink hair colour. However once we started watching her tutorials we also fell in love with her honest and to-the-point tutorials. We like the way that Katie has shown the versatility of perhaps one of our brightest lipstick shades (Fabulous and Flirty) and we have to say a huge well done to Katie for doing an amazing job at applying false eyelashes for the first time on camera!
Abbi is a real sweetie and you’re sure to adore her charming personality. We have to hand it to Abbi for getting her tutorial down to just over 7 mins! Less time getting ready means more time to get out and about and have fun! Abbi creates a lovely dark pink smokey eye with her trademark flicked eyeliner!
Ellen is a fabulous and friendly beauty vlogger and her tutorial (which we think has a lovely English Rose look to it) is quick and easy to follow. We like Ellen’s tip for using the Flawless Finish Foundation to build coverage instead of using a concealer on under eye circles and blemishes.
6. SJM Well
We picked Sam because we loved her style. Flawless pale skin, teamed with statement red lips and winged black eyeliner. We were intrigued as to what look Sam would create for Valentine’s and we have to say we loved the outcome. Sam’s Valentine’s look is a beautiful bronze smokey eye which is a classic look suitable for any Valentine’s occasion.
Lauren has such great features we thought she would be great at demonstrating our eye and lip products and she certainly didn’t disappoint us! Lauren created a sultry smokey eye using blacks and greys (and she’s got a super handy tip for getting that clean cut winged line too!). We think that Lauren’s makeup would be perfect for a night out with friends or a romantic dinner date with a special someone.
Kat Clarke from Tales of a Pale Face created this lovely look for her Valentine’s event which is a cosy night in with her boyfriend (and yes Kat we think you should treat yourself to that melt in the middle choc pud!). We think that the false eyelashes give Kat’s amazing eyes that extra wow factor and the Baked Blush and Lipstick colour add a natural and pretty glow to this look.
The beautiful blogger Sammie has fantastic big brown eyes and we wanted to see what look Sammie would create for Valentine’s to really make them stand out. Sammie went for a smokey purple/plum eye look and teamed it with our wonderfully bright Fabulous and Flirty lipstick shade which we think Sammie pulls off amazingly.
Kirsty from Rock it Style created a beautiful natural smokey eye for her Valentine’s look.
